Friday evening 6/15

It's Friday evening, We had a great day at the school. We started our day there by getting the roof of the school painted green. This potion of the roof is about 50' x 100'. The roof was relativly flat, but up high. It gave a new prepective for the kids and us seeing Nicaragua from above the roof line. We are so blessed. It was a good feeling to have started the selves for libary yesterday, and seeing the books on them today when we left. There was a look of joy on the childrens faces when we showed them the books. The kids and staff were turly greatful for our work that we did.

wens evening

It's 7:55 here. We just had supper with Steve and Kim and the kids. They have left and the four teens are off playing 4 square. We have completed our time working at this school. The tasks that we had in front of us got completed. We will be working the next two days at a different school. We are not however sure what we are doing yet. Please pray that this transition tomorrow goes well. This will be very much a different setting. We will be in a small comunity that the school does not have much room things will be tight. Everyone is doing well, No one has even shown signs of being sick. Today we finish hanging doors (boys). and the girls did a great job painting. It's been very HOT in the 90s, and there has been more bugs than in the past trips.

Monday evening

We began work at about 8am. We did a lot of painting, prep work for building selves in closets for teacher storage. This wood is not even close to being straight! We also began building up door frames for class rooms. This is a task that lays in front of us but really don't have the tools needed. However will have to find a way to get it done.

Sunday Evening

Sunday Evening

It's 11:47 Sunday evening, we have again had a wounderful day. After church today, we went on a tour of the city. Considering this is my fourth time here I have not seen the city dump. There are no words that could begin to decibe these conditions. It was trash and garbage for as far as you could see. To try to discribe, consider the worst conditions for a house but than put it in the center of a pile of garbage. We spent time also after church with Steve and Kim at there house. In the evening we had supper with Alma's parents. For those of you that don't know her she is the lady that spends the whole week with us.

Sunday June 10

I pray all is well in Michigan, all is well here. We as a team had a very full day on Saturday. We started out at an orphanage, got there around 9 am and left about 2 pm. As fearful as the team was to lead the devotions, today they would tell you they really enjoyed doing it. We had lots of fun with the kids, turly made some friends. It was really cool to them the four of them interact with these children. We spent some time painting cabinets. ( and they really needed paint!) The best part was that soon after starting the younger children were right in there painting with us. From the looks of the joy on there faces, i'm not sure when the last time was they had a group play with them we did. We even climbed there climbing tree with them ( really cool). We spent time at the market, it was very hot. We than spent about 4 hours in a national park seen a volcano went in a cave with lots of bats, and had a very nice supper on the way home. Today we will be going to a english speaking church and than see the city.

June 9 safe arrival

It's Saturday morning, and we have all had a good nights sleep. We will be working at an orphanage today. It houses around 20 kids. The age are from 3 to 12. Will start the day by leading them in devotions. All four teens are little uptight about this. But we talked about it last night. They understand that its not how well we do, but the fact that we are doing it. Yesterday it was in the 90s and expected to be the same today.
